Utility Worker Internship
Selected to participate in a 2 month long special program to introduce students to gas and electric utility work. Duties alternated between gas and electric construction crews and involved field work including excavating for gas lines, gas line fitting preparation, and other construction activities. Internship included weekly classroom work covering math, mechanical diagrams, fluid and pressure flowcharts to prepare for certification testing. Successfully completed International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) certification for Utility Worker Class C.
